Training
|
Training is a big part of what makes the members
of The Connecticut Trowel Trades Alliance the best in the industry.
The International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers'
apprenticeship and training system is widely recognized for
producing highly skilled craftworkers. Through Local union programs
and those offered through the International Masonry Institute, The
Connecticut Trowel Trades Alliance members have access to training
opportunities unmatched in the masonry industry.
Our training starts with a two to four year
apprenticeship program. During these years members receive both
classroom and on the job training. These classes serve as a solid
foundation of the skills needed to provide a top quality product. It
is from this foundation that they can hone their skills to provide
the highest quality workmanship.

In addition to the initial training of our
members; they are constantly taking new courses. Courses are always
being offered to keep our members on the cutting edge of the masonry
industry. Our members take courses to upgrade their skills and learn
new building techniques; including utilizing environmentally
friendly techniques otherwise known as the green movement.
Consistently upgrading our member’s skills allows us to be the very
best in the industry in which we work.
